A quick update from my summer break, without my beloved offspring!

I'm almost at the end of a magical trip to Tuscany ...

The colours here are incredible, the difference between the uk light and the Italian light on the land is very different.

I will paint from Tuscany as the colours are so warm , warm whites , warm blues , already I can see my brain mixing colours to get to the right tones.

We don’t have these colours on the land in the uk , we just are not near enough to the equator.

A truly spectacular life changing experience, for a painter.
