The piece, "After The Storm, Sunset West Wittering," is a vivid portrayal of West Wittering in the midst of winter. The aftermath of a storm at sunset created an awe-inspiring tableau of colours and cloud formations.

What struck me the most during this time was the dramatic spectacle that took shape. While I often find myself amplifying the tones to encapsulate a scene, there was no need for such embellishments in this work.

My aspiration is for the viewer to perceive the depth of the location, the drama, and the intensity of the light through the painting's tonal spectrum. My ambition is for the essence of hope and drama, integral to the scene, to resonate with those who gaze upon it.
