Creative making in anything: clay, art, drawing etc is related to creative thinking.
My message is everyone has a unique line, There are no rules in painting . Everyone has the ability to draw. When we get to school in a classroom we are told for instance that the apple you have drawn does not quite look like the apple.
That is not how I would like art and drawing to be taught. I have always encouraged my children to create using whatever materials they want; there's no right or wrong, there is no bad art.
Painting and drawing is a good way for children to get into a relaxed and creative zone. Ultimately it can become a starting point, to become creative and eager in any aspect, whether it is connected to mathematics , languages, science, all subjects demand some form of creative thinking. It is this creative thinking that I am talking about.
We seem to struggle a lot in schools with creativity and allowing children to make mistakes, and ultimately mistakes are an important part of learning , are they not ? I'd love to hear what you think.
