Inspired by a recent talk I went back to my artistic origins and tried out drawing marks.

Drawing gives you a new insight as to how to approach a canvas. With art it’s important to remind yourself as to why you paint.

I’ve always loved birds, so I felt that using the eagle as a subject also lent itself well to exploring and using my abstract style leading into a more figurative piece, much like my coastal works, which I’m known for.

Drawing and simple observation can always enrich your current art practice.
