This is one of two “eagle” paintings.

It’s important for your artist practice to test and try out alternative versions of the same subject because it gave me the opportunity to use new products. For these I used Golden Flow liquid acrylics and Liquitex acrylic spray .

When you do two pieces at the same time it allows a freedom of expression which is fundamental and methods to evolve .

I’ve always loved birds, so I felt that using the eagle as a subject also lent itself well to exploring and using my abstract style leading into a more figurative piece, much like my coastal works, which I’m known for.
